PAST:

bulletAugust 16 and 23, 2007  Ontario Town Cemetery Walk in conjunction with the Ontario Historical Society Bicentennial Committee.  6:30 PM at Ontario Town Cemetery behind the Town Hall

Thanks to AJ Cooper who portrayed Chandler Harrison, Civil War soldier, Mike, Sharyn, Melissa Leahy and Molly Schreiber who portrayed Freeman and Martha Hopkins and daughters Melissa and Harrieta, the first white settlers in Ontario, Tricia Yoder and Audrey Cooper who portrayed the Pye family who lost three children to an epidemic in 1880's, Toni Bobeck and Ryan Masline who portrayed Dr. J. Selden Brandt and Mrs. Dr. John Brandt, Dick Doyle and Anne Tobin who portrayed Charlie and Florence Mitchell representing the carpenters of the area, and June Abeel and Rick Ehlinger who portrayed Mildred and Earl Casey who were involved in the parks program.  Their touching and insightful presentations brought history alive for people attending.
